The Atlantic Dream tour starts in New York City and ends in Miami. The Atlantic Dream is a National Parks tour that takes 14 days taking you from New York City to Miami and through other destinations in the USA.

Cram a huge helping of virtually everything into two fantastic weeks, from the bustling excitement of the big cities, to the fun and sun of Florida's beaches and everything else in between. Visit historical Philadelphia, Washington DC and Shenandoah National Park and don't forget the option to embrace your inner child at Disney World, Florida. Enter gator territory and take an included tour through the swamplands, before taking it easy with some live music in the Deep South. Spend the last leg of the tour on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, checking out springs and topping up your tan on Florida's endless white sand beaches. There's no surprise that this tour is one of our faves!

ITINERARY

Day 1-2:New York Area, Washington, DC

Heading out of the New York area, your first stop is Philadelphia to check out the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the famous ‘Rocky’ steps. So grab your camera and recreate a piece of movie history! If all that running has got you hungry, you can hit the Reading Terminal Market for local treats or grab yourself a Philly cheesesteak - a famous local specialty and not to be missed! Arrive in the nation's capital an explore the best of this historic city with an included bike tour, then take advantage of the great nightlife in picturesque Georgetown.

Day 3: Shenandoah National Park

It's time to be awestruck as you drive towards Shenandoah National Park today. The drive is beautiful and you’ll soon understand why this place is a popular thoroughfare for travellers and locals alike. Depending on the pace of the day there may be time for a walk en route or once you reach the campsite.

Day 4: Ocoee

It's time for some excitement as you enter the vibrant and eclectic Deep South. Tennessee is the home of country music so make sure your vocals are at the ready because you'll be singing along in no time. Want more action? For pure adrenaline don a lifejacket, grip a paddle and bounce along a churning stretch of white water down the Ocoee River, which was the actual course used during the Centennial Olympic Games in 1996.

Day 5-6:Nashville

From honky-tonk bars to The Grand Ole Opry, they don't call Nashville the 'centre of the music world' for nothing! Find out all about the history of music at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, home to the largest collection of country music in the world. This place is full of life and you'll be hotfooting your way from one bar to the next checking out the live music.

Day 7: Memphis

Located on the Mississippi River, Memphis has a long and colourful past. Why not visit Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley? Elvis had a huge influence on country, blues and rock ‘n’ roll music, and his former home is the second-most visited private home in the USA after the White House. Visit Sun Studio, where famous blues and rock 'n' roll tracks have been laid down since 1950, a place many a great name has passed through. There's more to Memphis than just music, and you can pay a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum located in the former Lorraine Hotel to see the place where Martin Luther King was assassinated. In the evening, head over to legendary Beale Street which really comes alive with neon-lit signs, live street performers and blues music playing at every turn.

Day 10-11: Destin Beach

Get your first taste of American beach life as you hit Destin on Florida's Emerald Coast. Known for impossible stretches of white sand beaches and playful bottlenose dolphins close to shore. Enjoy some beach time, there are plenty of water-sports on offer. Take in the sunset on an optional paddleboard excursion. In the evening, the party spirit simmers into the small hours at the beachfront clubs!

Day 12-13: Orlando

Embrace your inner kid with an optional visit to Disney World. Meet your childhood hero, Mickey Mouse, or if that isn't your thing then you could battle Voldemort at Universal Studios' Harry Potter World or cross the final frontier at Kennedy Space Center - both of which are out of this world. Orlando is one big playground and after a full day satisfying your thirst for fun, you'll sleep like a baby.

Day 14: Orlando, Miami

Before you head home, arrive in Miami and make sure you get your last fix of sandy beaches and glorious sunshine at SoBe (aka South Beach). Stroll the art deco seafront, or if you're staying on for another night after the tour ends, pose with the beautiful people in ultra-cool nightspots as you celebrate a fantastic trip. Stay longer in this sun-soaked city to mingle with the locals and salsa the night away!This tour ends at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
